Andy Flower, head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), believes Mohsin Khan's injury is a major setback for his team ahead of the IPL 2023.
Mohsin, a left-arm medium fast bowler, will miss the majority of the 2023 season due to a shoulder injury. Flower describes his absence as a "body blow" to his team.
"There is no doubt that not having him is a setback. We're hoping he'll show up near the end of the tournament "Flower stated during a media interview.
Flower, on the other hand, admitted that he might not be able to play this season.
"But, to be honest, I had pretty much written him off as a selection option, and if he gets fit at some point during the tournament, I'll take it." But that is not something I am expecting.
"So, whether we're weak at the death or in the middle overs, we'll find out soon." That is not correct, in my opinion. Our job is not to be concerned with some of those opinions; our job is to perform well on the pitch.
"He (Mohsin) was a brilliant performer last season, demonstrating how quickly one can advance in a matter of weeks." That is a thrilling prospect for any young cricketer.
