Oval Invincibles have stiffened the gap with the table-topper Trent Rocket after a nine-run victory, on Sunday, 8 August. In a match that was reduced to 65 balls a side, Jason Roy’s fifty helped the Invincibles post 125 on the board. In reply, the Rockets were restricted to 116/8. The Invincibles are now just a point behind the Rockets.
Southern Brave are at joint second, with seven points in their bag. Manchester Originals and Birmingham Phoenix rank fourth and fifth. Both sides have earned six points each. London Spirits are yet to register their maiden victory in the competition, and are placed at the bottom of the points table.
