Bangladesh were lifted by a 153-run stand between Mominul Haque and Liton Das as they closed the day on 401/6. Mominul scored 88 before getting pinned leg-before by Trent Boult, and Liton made 86.

The New Zealand pacers will aim to bowl Bangladesh out in the morning session on Day 4. However, barring Boult and Neil Wagner, none of the pacers has looked probing. The pitch is yet to offer anything to Rachin Ravindra, the lone New Zealand spinner.

For New Zealand to force a result, they not only need their bowlers to wrap up this innings at the earliest, but also their batters to adopt an aggressive approach. Ross Taylor and Devon Conway hold the key for them.

Bangladesh are in control, but they are also prone to collapses. In 2017/18, they went on to lose a Test match in New Zealand after scoring 595 in the first innings. Boult and Tim Southee skittled them out for 160 in the second innings on that occasion before New Zealand chased down 217 in 39.4 overs.

The visitors are currently ahead by 73 runs, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Yasir Ali at the crease. They will want to add another 60-70 runs before taking the field.

Betway Fantasy Tips

  • Pick both Boult and Wagner.
  • Shoriful Islam and Miraz picked three wickets each in the first innings. Them are must-haves.
