Khurram Manzoor’s blistering 49-ball 84 helped Sindh register a five-wicket win against Southern Punjab in Match 3 of the National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi. Riding on Manzoor's innings, Sindh chased down 176 with four balls to spare. Anwar Ali also played a breezy cameo (29* in 8 balls) to make that happen.
Earlier, Southern Punjab posted 175/7 after being put in. Aamer Yamin top-scored in this total with 26-ball 43. Mohammad Hasnain returned 2-40, and Zahid Mahmood 1-25.
Match 4, Balochistan v Central Punjab
Balochistan 142/7 in 20 overs (Umaid 32*; Qadir 4-25) lost to Central Punjab 145/8 in 19 overs (Babar 65; Junaid 3-41) by 2 wickets with 6 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Wahab Riaz.
Usman Qadir’s 4-25, followed by Wahab Riaz’s quickfire eight-ball 20 not out propelled Central Punjab register a two-wicket win over Balochistan in Match 4 of the competition.
Wahab earlier returned 2-19 to provide the support Qadir required. They restricted Balochistan to 142/7 after they opted to bat. Umaid Asif remained unbeaten on 32, but took 38 balls to reach there.
Coming to the chase, Babar Azam scored 65 off 45 balls, but received little support from his teammates. Junaid Khan and Kashif Bhatti triggered a collapse from 73/2 to 120/8. Wahab then two sixes and a four in his short stay to take Central Punjab past the finishing line with an over to spare.
