Southern Punjab vs Balochistan
Southern Punjab 101 in 17.5 overs (Maqsood 24; Butt 3-11) lost to Balochistan 102/3 in 17.2 overs (Bangalzai 58*; Naseem 1-10) by 7 wickets with 16 balls to spare.
Balochistan registered a seven-wicket win over Southern Punjab on Sunday, 26 September. This was the third straight loss for Southern Punjab, who are now at the bottom of the points table.
Batting first, Southern Punjab could only manage 101 in 17.5 overs. They lost Zain Abbas to the first legitimate ball. Sohaib Maqsood (24) and Zeeshan Ashraf (18) added 45 for the second wicket before the former got out in the fifth over. This opened the floodgates, and they were skittled out for 101. Amad Butt and Yasir Shah picked three wickets each.
Abdul Bangalzai scored 58 in 55 balls and Bismillah Khan 28, as Balochistan mowed down the total in 17.2 overs.
Central Punjab vs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Central Punjab 171/6 in 20 overs (Talat 51; Afridi 2-39) beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 128 in 18.2 overs (Wasim 34; Wahab 3-21) by 43 runs.
A half-century from Hussain Talat, coupled with a three-wicket haul from Wahab Riaz, drove Central Punjab to a 43-run victory over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were bowled out for 128 while chasing 172. Barring Mohammad Wasim and Sahibzada Farhan, both scored 34, none of the batters stood up to the occasion.
Earlier, Central Punjab got off a brisk start, as Babar Azam and Ahmed Shehzad added 42 for the opening wicket. Babar got out on 16, while Shehzad was bowled for 40. They were lifted up by a 26-ball 51 from Talat to post 171.
