Multan Sultan won their six consecutive match in PSL 2022. They beat Peshawar Zalmi by 42 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This was the fourth defeat of the season for Zalmi, who were bowled out for 140 while chasing 183. Blessing Muzarabani struck twice in his opening over to reduce them to 5/2.
Liam Livingstone (24) and Shoaib Malik (44) then added 37 for the third wicket before the former fell to Abbas Afridi, but Khushdil Shah claimed three wickets to wrap up the Zalmi's innings.
Earlier, Shan Masood had scored 68 in 49 balls, adding 98 for the opening stand with Mohammad Rizwan, to guide the Sultans to a steep total. Rizwan scored 34 before getting out to Wahab Riaz. Tim David struck three sixes and two fours in his 18-ball 34.
