Multan Sultan's six-match winning streak came to halt after they succumbed to a 52-run defeat against Lahore Qalandars at Gaddafi Stadium. Chasing 183 to win, the Sultans were bowled out for 130.
Fakhar Zaman and Kamran Ghulam got the Qalandars off to a great start after they lost an early wicket in Abdullah Shafique. Fakhar (60 in 37 balls) and Ghulam (42) added 86 for the second wicket before the latter fell to Abbas Afridi for 42. Fakhar hit six fours and two sixes. Mohammad Hafeez (43) and Phil Salt (23) took the Qalandars to a steep total.
Rashid Khan's double blow in the ninth over derailed the Sultans' chase. He bowled Mohammad Rizwan on 20, and pinned Rilee Rossouw leg-before first ball. Zaman Khan (3-21) got Tim David (24) to reduce them to 89/5. In the end they could only manage 130.
