Pakistan completed a clean sweep of the T20I series against West Indies with a thrilling seven-wicket win in the final match at the National Stadium in Karachi. Fifties from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan helped them chase 208 in 18.5 overs.
Despite playing with only four specialist batters, West Indies managed to post 207/3 in 50 overs. Brandon King and Shamarh Brooks got them off an explosive start, adding 66 for the opening stand. They struck a six each off Mohammad Wasim Jr in the sixth over before King (43) got bowled off the last ball.
Brooks hit two fours and four sixes en route his 31-ball 49. Coming at No. 3, Pooran did not take time to get going. He smashed two sixes off Iftikhar Ahmed in the 11th over, and added 93 with Darren Bravo for the third wicket before being dismissed for 64.
Babar and Rizwan added 158 for the opening stand to set up the foundation for the chase. If Babar was slightly conservative, Rizwan struck at 191, scoring 86 off 45 deliveries.
Pakistan needed 50 off the last five overs when Babar (79 off 53) fell to Odean Smith. Fakhar Zaman hit two fours in the same over to keep the asking rate under control. Asif Ali then finished the game with a 7-ball 21.
