Mumbai Indians and India team all-rounder Hardik Pandya, during a live instagram session with Dinesh Karthik on Saturday, advocated for the IPL to be conducted behind closed doors owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Krunal Pandya, who was with his brother during the session, backed up his views.
“I’ve played in the Ranji Trophy without crowds, and it feels different. To be honest, if that (IPL behind closed doors) happens, then it will be a smarter option. At least people will be entertained at home,” Hardik said.
Krunal agreed to Hardik’s view on IPL.
Hardik later went on to state how one cup of coffee proved to be too costly for him, a remark triggered by his controversial comments on the ‘Koffee With Karan’.TV show, which eventually saw him being suspended.
Hardik said, “I don’t drink coffee, I drink green tea instead. I drank coffee only once and proved to be too expensive for me. I can bet that Starbucks would not have such an expensive coffee. Since then I stay away from coffee.”
