SA vs ENG T20Is: An exciting series in the offing Image

Both South Africa and England will be gearing up with their preparations for the T20 World Cup next year as they lock horns in a three-match T20I series in the rainbow nation starting 27th November.

There has been a lot of confusion in South African cricket of late due to the political interference in the cricket board but this series is expected to bring some much-needed relief for the fans in these tough times. Most of the players are coming into the series on the back of excellent performances in the Indian T20 League and they will be eager to carry that momentum forward.

England, on the other hand, will be looking to find the proper balance in their batting order as they have too many top-order players at the moment. Their bowlers haven’t had the best times in this format of late and that is an area they need to address as well. However, like the South African players, most of them are coming here on the back of good performances in the Indian T20 League and they would want to do an equally good job in this series once again.

Recent Form

If we look at the overall records of the two sides since 2018, it shows that both of them have been in good form. While England have won 15 of their last 27 T20Is during this period, South Africa have gone on to win 11 out of their last 21 matches.

However, their more recent results show a clear dip in form. While England have lost five of their last eight T20Is, South Africa have gone on to lose four out of their last six matches as well.

Head to Head Record

The two sides have faced each other in 18 T20Is so far with England winning nine and South Africa winning eight. However, England have been the stronger side in recent times as they have won five of their last seven matches against the Proteas.
