At a gathering at The Wanderers on Sunday, Joburg Super Kings skipper Faf du Plessis unveiled the official team jersey for the inaugural SA20.

At the ceremony, which also included Chennai Super Kings CEO KS Viswanathan, Executive Mayor of Johannesburg Dr. Mpho Malada, Cricket South Africa CEO Pholetsi Moseki, Joburg Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming, and Joburg Super Kings head franchise Ankit Baldi, the team also unveiled its official anthem.

As the event's primary guest, Faf du Plessis gave unique Joburg Super Kings jersey to Johannesburg Mayor Mpho Malada. The Joburg Super Kings players received their official playing jerseys from the mayor.

Chennai Super Kings have always received a tonne of love in South Africa, according to Mr. KS Viswanathan, who was speaking about the jersey and the team's ties to that country. All of our Super fans throughout the world are familiar with the yellow. Cricket enthusiasts from South Africa are drawn to the colour green.

The Joburg Super Kings' use of yellow and green symbolises both the city's uniqueness and continuity with the Super Kings family. We are excited to start this long journey and are looking forward to taking this initial step.

Ankit Baldi remarked, "We wanted to remain true to local music and culture when creating the national anthem. In light of this, the anthem embraces the same with South African melodies and beats.

In fact, the whistles too have a big connection with South Africa. Chennai Super Kings' famous Whistle Podu anthem was born in 2009 as a call-out for fans in India to cheer for CSK when the tournament was shifted to South Africa. Ever since then, whistles have been an integral part of the Super Kings. I'm confident the Joburg Super Kings fans will embrace the new anthem as well."
