Sri Lanka recalled veteran player Angelo Mathews and named him in their 16-member squad for the following T20Is against India that begins from January 5, 2020 in Guwahati. The 32-year old all-rounder last played a T20I in August 2018 and has been out of the reckoning due to inconsistencies and injuries.
Nuwan Pradeep, on the other hand, has not been included in the side led by Lasith Malinga after he suffered an injury during practice. Kasun Rajitha has replaced Pradeep in the squad for the three-match series.
Sri Lanka will depart for India on January 2, and will prepare for the three games that will be held on January 5 (Guwahati), January 7 (Indore) and January 10 (Pune).
