Smriti Mandhana has recovered from a toe injury and will join the Indian team for the ongoing series against the West Indies in the Caribbean Islands. The first match is done and dusted and Mandhana is expected to join before the second game on November 3.

Mandhana had suffered a fracture to her right toe before the South African series and will now return after a short break from cricket. The teams play each other in five matches in preparation for the T20 World Cup next year.

She had posted on Instagram about suffering a toe injury and healing from the same at home a few weeks back.

Part of her recovery happened at home while the other half saw her undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy. When India left for the series in the Caribbean, no replacement was announced for Mandhana. She will now fill in her original place in the T20I squad.
