The ongoing three-match ODI series between South Africa and the Netherlands has been postponed owing to the new Covid-19 concern. South Africa, along with many African nations, have sealed their international border after a new variant of the Covid-19 emerged.
The first ODI between the two sides was abandoned due to persistent drizzle after two overs into the second innings. The series is a part of the ICC ODI Super League. Both countries have now mutually agreed to reschedule the rest of the tour.
'We are disappointed by the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in, but the comfort of all visiting teams must always be paramount. The mental well-being of players is one of CSA’s top priorities, and we respect our visitors’ position and point of view,' said Pholetsi Moseki, the acting CEO of Cricket South Africa.
