Cricket South Africa announced their limited-overs squads for their upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. They have rested Quinton de Kock from the ODI leg, while David Miller and Lungi Ngidi have been excluded due to a hamstring injury and ‘personal reasons’ respectively. However, all three will return for the three-match T20I series, which will begin shortly after the ODIs. Temba Bavuma will lead them in both formats.
South Africa have recalled Dwaine Pretorius in both squads. Pretorius had missed South Africa’s winter tours after testing positive for Covid-19. They have also added Junior Dala, who last played in August 2018 against Sri Lanka, for the ODIs.
The two sides will play three ODIs and as many T20Is between 2 and 14 September. All matches will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
