The three-match ODI series between South Africa and the Netherlands will begin on 26 November, at the SuperSport Park, Centurion.
Under Pieter Seelaar, the Netherlands let themselves down at the recently concluded T20 World Cup, where they lost all three matches. They will miss the Ryan ten Doeschate, who recently retired, Ben Cooper, Paul van Meekeren and Tobias Visee, who have decided not to feature in the series due to personal reasons.
However, Stephan Myburgh and Max O'Dowd – their regular openers – will feature in the lineup. Roelof van der Merwe, Timm van der Gugten and Fred Klaassen will be key wicket-taking options. Musa Ahmed and Vivian Kingma are also expected to make the cut.
South Africa have given Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen, Wiaan Mulder and Bjorn Fortuin a rest. Lungi Ngidi and Lizaad Williams have been ruled out as well, due to Covid-19 and muscle injury respectively. Keshav Maharaj will lead in Bavuma’s absence.

South Africa will hope Janneman Malan, Reeza Hendricks and David Miller to play crucial roles wit bat. Wayne Parnell, not a Kolpak player anymore, will return to spearhead the bowling attack, along with Dwaine Pretorius, Maharaj, Andile Phehlukwayo and Sisanda Magala.
