Tamim led from the front in the response, scoring a brilliant half-century that helped Bangladesh coast home with more than 29 overs to spare, ensuring that the victory target was never in doubt.
Najmul Hossain Shanto was caught for 20 by Gudakesh Motie (1/39) to give West Indies their lone wicket, but Tamim and veteran batsman Liton Das (32 not out) led the run chase to victory.
This series victory was precisely what Bangladesh needed to give them some confidence ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup later this year after underwhelming performances throughout the Test and T20 portions of the tour.
