Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming T20I series in India. Avishka Fernando will miss the series due to a knee injury he sustained during the T20I series in Australia.
Ramesh Mendis also missed out due to a fractured thumb, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa was not selected on fitness grounds. Ashian Daniel has received a maiden call-up, but has to get "ministerial approvals" before joining the side.
Wanindu Hasaranga and Binura Fernando missed the major part of the series against Australia after testing positive for Covid-19. Both of them returned to the squad, but Nuwan Thusara failed to make a cut due to side strain.
