The United Arab Emirates and Ireland will square off against each other in Summer T20 Bash at ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, on 8 October.
Ireland beat UAE yesterday, and are again favourites to win. The biggest positive for Ireland is that Kevin O'Brien has overcome the lean patch. O'Brien, along with Paul Stirling have consistently get Ireland off a great start. In the last match, too, they added 90 for the opening stand. Stirling scored 53 in 46 balls, while O'Brien missed his fifty by four runs.
Curtis Campher (3-19) was the pick of their bowlers, Benjamin White and Mark Adair picked two wickets each, and Josh Little bowled an economical spell.
UAE, on the other hand, need to click as a unit. Muhammad Usman top-scored with 35, and with handy contributions from Kashif Daud and Ahmed Raza, they managed 123/7. A lot hinges on the opening pair of Chirag Suri and Waseem Muhammad if the UAE want to post a challenging total.
