In a recent IPL match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad fell short by five runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. After losing three wickets in the power-play, a 70-run partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and skipper Aiden Markram revived the chase. However, Hyderabad eventually ended up at 166/8, losing their sixth match of the tournament.

Speaking after the match, Hyderabad head coach Brian Lara admitted that the team had the match in their hands but lost due to the mistakes committed by their batters. Lara said, "We're trying to get a winning combination. We seem to be getting it, definitely in the bowling department. Those guys have put their hands up in nearly every single match. We just let them down with the bat."

Hyderabad's chances of reaching the playoffs have become more difficult due to their inability to create significant partnerships and losing early wickets. Lara emphasized the importance of partnerships and match awareness to win games.

Hyderabad's poor form has also been compounded by the lean form of England batter Harry Brook, who has been dismissed for a duck in the last two matches and hasn't contributed much since his century against Kolkata at Eden Gardens in April. Lara said that Harry would have to work out what's going wrong, but the team is always here to offer advice and support.

Hyderabad's next match will be against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday evening.
