He struck an unbeaten 61-ball 119, laced with six sixes and 11 fours. Maharashtra’s Ruturaj Gaikwad (81) continued his good form to help his side beat Odisha by 27 runs. Tamil Nadu, meanwhile, rode on Hari Nishaanth’s unbeaten 49-ball 75 to chase 130 against Puducherry.
In Group B, Manish Pandey’s 51, followed by a clinical bowling performance by Karnataka, set up a 33-run win against the Services, in Guwahati. Krunal Pandya returned 4-15 in Baroda’s six-wicket win against Chhattisgarh. Mumbai, successfully defended 132 against Bengal, courtesy Mohit Avasthi’a 3-25 and Tushar Deshpande‘s 2-19.
