Somerset became the third team to advance to the semi-finals of the T20 blast after they defeated Lancashire by seven wickets, on Thursday, 26 August. Lancashire rode on fiery knocks from Liam Livingstone, Dane Vilas, and Rob Jones to post 184/9 in 20 overs. Somerset chased down the target in just 18.1 overs, thanks to a half-century from Tom Abell (78) and 28-ball 47 from Tom Lammonby.

Leicestershire’s Josh Inglis maintained the lead at the top of run-scoring charts, but he will not play in the tournament anymore. He has scored 531 runs in 14 games so far. Gloucestershire’s Glenn Phillips is at second place, with 500 in 12 games, followed by Harry Brook of Yorkshire.

With 26 wickets in 14 games, Leicestershire’s Naveen-ul-Haq remained the leading wicket-taker. Leicestershire has failed to qualify for knockouts, but it is highly unlikely any other bowlers will surpass him.
