Yorkshire will clash against Sussex in the first quarter-final of T20 Blast at Riverside Ground, on Tuesday (24 August). David Willey will lead Yorkshire in the absence of Joe Root. Yorkshire have won only one game away from home in the competition.

Other than Joe Root, Yorkshire will also be without Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, and Lockie Ferguson. While Root, Malan and Bairstow are currently in Leeds for the third Test versus India, Ferguson missed out after contracting Covid-19.
Ollie Robinson and Travis Head will be unavailable for Sussex. Head has already returned home, while Robinson is with England’s Test team. However, they will be buoyed by the comeback of George Garton, Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan. All three of them were a part of the title-winning Southern Brave team.
