Ruby Trichy Warriors will lock horns with Chepauk Super Gillies in Qualifier 1 of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2021, on Tuesday, 10 June. The match will be played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai; the winner will book a place in the final.

The Warriors won five matches and lost two to finish at the top of the points table in the league stage. The Super Gillies, on the other hand, won four matches and finished second. Both sides squared off against each other in the last match of the league stage.

The Warriors emerged victorious, comprehensively defeating the Super Gillies by seven wickets. Nidhish Rajagopal (66*) struck an unbeaten half-century to guide his team across the finishing line with five balls and seven wickets to spare.

Earlier, the Super Gillies rode on a half-century from S. Radhakrishnan to post 132. They boast of a strong batting unit. N. Jagadeesan has so far amassed 211 runs in seven games. He, along with the skipper Kaushik Gandhi, has done well as an opening pair.

Betway Fantasy Tips

  • Since all league matches had been played at the same venue, the Chepauk surface is likely to be slow and stodgy. Load your team with slow bowlers.
  • Saravana Kumar has been the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors. He has already picked up 11 wickets in the tournament.
  • Among batsmen, you can place a bet on Narayan Jagadeesan, Nidhish Rajagopal and Adithya Ganesh.
