Chepauk Super Gillies and Dindigul Dragons will be up against each other in Qualifier 2 of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2021, on Friday, 13 August. The winner will take on Ruby Trichy Warriors in the summit clash of the tournament, on Sunday.

The Dragons will be heading to this contest off a five-wicket victory over Lyca Kovai Kings in the Eliminator. Hari Nishanth led from the front, scoring 59 off 44, while R. Vivek made a quickfire 52, to guide the Dragons across the finishing line.

Earlier, Gurjapneet Singh claimed three wickets to restrict the Kovai Kings to 143/6. Rangaraj Suthesh, who currently leads the wickets charts, remained wicketless.

The Super Gillies, on the other hand, lost Qualifier 1 to the Trichy Warriors. They were high on confidence after registering four successive games, but have relinquished the momentum by losing their last games.

S. Radhakrishnan's fiery 82 went in vain as the Trichy Warriors rode on half-centuries from Nidhish Rajagopal and Adithya Ganesh to win the game by five wickets. They chased down the target 154 in 19.5 overs.
