Uncapped Tom Abell was named to England's ODI and T20I squads for their tour of Bangladesh on Thursday.
Abell, who will captain the England Lions one-day squad against Sri Lanka, was also recently seen at the SA20 in South Africa. He bats in the middle of the order and can also bowl.
The 28-year-old Somerset batsman led the County Championship 2022 batting charts with 1039 runs at an average of 51.95. He also played in the Lanka Premier League, Sri Lanka's domestic T20 league, in December.
Meanwhile, young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed was also named to the white-ball squads for the first time. Last December, the teenage leg-spinner made his Test debut in Karachi, taking seven wickets at an average of 19.57.
England pacer Saqib Mahmood, who last played in a Test against the West Indies last year, has been called up to the ODI squad. Lancashire's player has 14 ODI wickets at a 19.92 average.
Jofra Archer, who recently returned to international duty against South Africa, has also been named to both squads. Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, and Olly Stone have been left out because they will play in the Test against New Zealand at the end of February.
Alex Hales, who finished second in England's run-scoring chart at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, was also absent from the T20I squad. Will Jacks and Ben Duckett have been named to the T20I squad.
England will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Bangladesh beginning March 1, with all six games taking place in Dhaka and Chattogram.
