Alex Hales scored a 64-ball hundred to help Nottinghamshire beat Lancashire by seven runs at Trent Bridge. Hales hit 12 fours and four sixes in his unbeaten 101-run innings.
Alex Davies (39 off 15) then threatened the Notts bowlers during his brief stay, smashing five sixes before falling to Matthew Carter (3-17). Steven Croft (41) and Luke Wood (33 not out) then added a 52-run stand for the seventh wicket before Lancashire closed on 166/7.
Warwickshire v Durham, Edgbaston
Durham 164/8 in 20 overs (Bancroft 60; Brathwaite 3-32) beat Warwickshire 130 in 18.3 overs (Rhodes 45; Stokes 4-27) by 34 runs. Player of the Match: Ben Stokes.
Ben Stokes’ all-round show helped Durham beat Warwickshire by 34 runs at Edgbaston. Coming at No. 3, Stokes (35 off 20) added a 61 for the third wicket with Cameron Bancroft (60 off 45) to recover his side from 9/2. Carlos Brathwaite returned 3-32 before Durham finished at 164/8.
In reply, Will Rhodes (45 off 27) and Matthew Lamb (39 off 25) were the only two Warwickshire batters to score in excess of 10. They were bowled out for 130 in 18.3 overs. Stokes claimed four wickets in three overs, while five others got a wicket each.
Yorkshire v Northamptonshire, Headingley
Yorkshire 224/3 in 20 overs (Thompson 74; Nabi 1-23) beat Northamptonshire 142 in 19.3 overs (Keogh 36; Bess 3-17) by 82 runs. Player of the Match: Jordan Thompson.
Jordan Thompson’s 35-ball 74 helped Yorkshire humiliate Northamptonshire by 92 runs at Headingley. Thompson hit three fours and seven sixes in his innings. He was well-supported by Mark Stoneman (50 off 31) and Harry Brook (45* off 26) as Yorkshire piled 224/3.
Dom Bess then returned 3-17 and Matthew Fisher 2-25 to wrap Northants up for 142 in 19.3 overs. Rob Keogh top-scored with 28-ball 36 before falling to Matthew Waite (2-33).
