Kent vs Somerset, Canterbury
Kent 168/8 in 20 overs (Crawley 39; Gregory 4-27) lost to Somerset 169/0 in 15.4 overs (Banton 107*) by 10 wickets with 26 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Tom Banton
Tom Banton struck a scintillating century to make a mockery of a target of 169 runs set up by Kent in Canterbury. Banton and Devon Conway saw it off by themselves, helping Somerset hunt down the target in just 15.4 overs.
Banton was proactive from the start, smashing four fours in the second over of the innings, by Matt Milnes. When Adam Milne came on to bowl his first over, Conway welcomed him with a six over square-leg, and followed it with another the next ball.
Earlier, Zak Crawley (39) and Daniel Bell-Drummond (28) added 53 runs for the opening wicket before the latter was undone by Craig Overton. Joe Denly then contributed with 36 off 25, but the rest of the Kent batters could not put up a fight.
For Kent, skipper Lewis Gregory claimed four wickets, while Overton managed two.
