Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh became the latest signings in the Women's Big Bash League 2021. Rodrigues and Kaur were roped in by Melbourne Renegades, while Ghosh will be playing for Hobart Hurricanes.
Rodrigues impressed everyone with her extraordinary hitting prowess in the recently concluded The Hundred. Plying her trade for Northern Superchargers, she amassed 249 runs in seven games, and only Dane van Niekerk scored more than her. 'I'm very excited to be here now and to be part of the Renegades,' she said.
Ghosh made her debut in the first ODI against Australia. She scored 32 off 29 balls. Since Ghosh was underage, the consent of her father was required.
Kaur, a WBBL veteran, is currently nursing a thumb injury, and might miss the Test match against Australia, starting tomorrow.
