When play began, West Indies needed just two more wickets to bowl out the opponents. Chris Woakes and Jack Leach did well to survive the opening hour. Kemar Roach then struck with his first ball to reduce England to 116/9. Woakes, who played 50 balls for his 19, holed out to Jason Holder. In his next over, Roach induced an outside edge off Leach to end the innings on 120.
Joshua Da Silva was adjudged Player of the Match for his maiden century, giving West Indies a sizeable first-innings lead. Kyle Mayers then claimed a five-for in the second innings to finish the game with seven wickets.
