After getting hammered by 4-1 in the T20I series, Australia will now face West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series, on 21 July. Australia haven't played the ODI series for over six months, while West Indies will coming off a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka.
Aaron Finch will not be playing due to a knee injury he endured while fielding in the fifth T20I. Cricket Australia has named Alex Carey as his replacement.
Mitchell Marsh was easily the most impressive player for Australia in the T2OI series. He will be making an ODI comeback on Tuesday. Matthew Wade will be breaking into the playing XI, and he is likely to open the innings along with Josh Philippe.
West Indies, meanwhile, will be high on confidence after registering an impeccable T20I series win. There's still no confirmation on the availability of Kieron Pollard. If he fails to make it, Shai Hope, the current vice-captain, is likely to lead the series.
Jason Holder will return to the side, and Shimron Hetmyer is likely to be slotted in the middle-order. Sheldon Cottrell and Alzarri Joseph will lead the pace department, with Fabian Allen and Hayden Walsh Jr as the two spinners of the side.
Betway Fantasy Tips
- Shai Hope has scores of 110, 84 and 64 in his last three ODI innings. You can't afford to leave him for your fantasy XI.
- Mitchell Marsh is in red hot form. He has been the most productive players with both bat and ball in the T20I series. He is likely to bat at No. 3, so he will have a lot of time to get his eyes in and aim for a big total.
- Among spinners, Adam Zampa and Fabian Allen would be a good pick.
