After a thumping 4-1 victory in the T20I series, West Indies lost the three-match ODI series by 2-1. The home side was no match to a depleted Australia squad. They were let down by shambolic batting performances.

Hayden Walsh Jr 8.5 (M 3 W 7 Ave 16 Ec 4.14)
Walsh claimed a five wickets in the opening match within a space of 18 balls. He bowled economically in the other two matches as well.
Alzarri Joseph 8 (M 3 W 6 Ave 15.50 Ec 4.49)
Joseph had 2-40 from 10 overs in the first ODI. In the second, he claimed three more.
Akeal Hosein 8 (M 3 W 6 Ave 18.16 Ec 3.63)
Hosein was expensive in the first game, conceding 50 but picking up two wickets. In the second, he broke Australia’s middle-order with three wickets in six balls.
Jason Holder 6.5 (M 3 R 57 Ave 19 W 1 Ec 5.35)
Holder returned after a long layoff due to an injury, and the rust was clearly visible. But he played a crucial role in the West Indies’ only win, smashing 52 off 69.
Nicholas Pooran 6.5 (M 3 R 62 Ave 84 SR 74)
Pooran remained unbeaten on 59, and forged a crucial partnership of 93 for the sixth wicket with Holder to see his team past the finishing line.
Kieron Pollard 6 (M 3 R 69 Ave 23 SR 80)
Pollard helped West Indies avoid an embarrassing situation in the first ODI. He scored almost half of West Indies’ total of 123.
Sheldon Cottrell 6 (M 3 W 3 Ave 36 Ec 5.68)
An ordinary series for Cottrell, who finishing with just three wickets. He went wicketless in the first ODI before picking up two in the second.
Evin Lewis 6 (M 3 R 56 Ave 28 SR 70)
Lewis had 0 and 1 in the first two matches. In the third, he was hit on his grille of the helmet while attempting to play pull Josh Hazlewood and retired. He returned to score 55 not out.
Shai Hope 4 (M 2 R 52 Ave 26 SR 67)
Hope missed the first game due to injury and aggregated 52 in the next two games. He looked in fine touch in the second ODI, and was on 38 before being bowled.
Darren Bravo 2 (M 3 R 20 Ave 6.66)
Bravo squandered all three opportunities, and may find it difficult to retain his spot.
Shimron Hetmyer 2 (M 2 R 17)
Not a good series for Hetmyer, who played the first and last games and failed in both.
Jason Mohammed 1.5 (M 2 R 13 runs)
An ordinary campaign for Mohammed, who was dropped after two failures.
