Joshua da Silva's hundred and Kyle Mayers' 5-9 put West Indies on the cusp of a victory in the third and final Test match, in Grenada. England finished the day 103/8, just 10 runs ahead of the West Indies.
Jack Leach and Saqib Mahmood had saved England from an embarrassingly low score in the first innings, but the situation is grimmer. With two days remaining and eight wickets down, there's only so much that tail-enders can do.
Earlier in the day, Joshua da Silva lit up the ground with his maiden Test century. He remained unbeaten on 100, and was assisted by Alzarri Joseph and Kemar Roach.
England lost Zak Crawley early in the innings, but it was Joe Root's dismissal that triggered a collapse. Root holed out to John Campbell to become the first of the five victims of Mayers, who bowled Dan Lawrence an over later.
There was a glimpse of recovery when Jonny Bairstow joined Alex Lees. The duo batted with caution for almost 25 overs before Bairstow edged to da Silva off Alzarri Joseph. A run out featuring Ben Foakes then reduced England to 83/6, which soon became 93/7 after Lees' dismissal on 31, which remains the highest score of the innings.
England 204 (Saqib Mahmood 49; Jayden Seales 3-40) and 103/8 (Alex Lees 31; Kyle Mayers 5-9) lead West Indies 297 (Joshua Da Silva 100*; Chris Woakes 3-56) by 10 runs.
