The third T20I between West Indies and Pakistan only saw six minutes of play at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Only 1.2 overs were bowled during this period before the on-field umpires decided to call off the match. The four-match series is currently in Pakistan’s favour 1-0 after two of them have now been washed out.

The toss was delayed due to rain. Kieron Pollard and Babar Azam then walked out, and it was Pollard who won the mini-battle and did not hesitate to bat.

West Indies made one change from their last match. They recalled Andre Russell for the injured Evin Lewis. This allowed Chris Gayle to open batting after more than two years. Pakistan, on the other hand, fielded the same lineup that won the second T20I less than 24 hours ago.

Gayle only played two out of the eight balls, while Andre Fletcher smashed two sixes off the six that he faced. West Indies were 15 for no loss before torrential rains forced abandonment.

The two sides will play the fourth and final T20I on 3 August at the same venue, before moving to the two-match Test series.

Brief scores: West Indies 15/0 in 1.2 overs (Andre Fletcher 14*) vs Pakistan. Match called off due to rain.
