West Indies will be taking on South Africa in the fourth ODI of the five-match series at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, on Thursday (16 September).
South Africa have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. Lizelle Lee is the leading run-getter of the series. She has amassed 187 runs in three games. She is followed by her opening partner Laura Wolvaardt.
The middle-order of Sune Luus, Dane van Niekerk and Trisha Chetty has largely been untested, since all three ODIs have been low-scoring affairs. South Africa won the third ODI by eight wickets.
Lee and Wolvaardt added 122 runs for the opening wicket to take the sting out of the contest. Wolvaardt got out on53, while Lee remained unbeaten on 73. On the bowling front, Ayabonga Khaka is the leading wicket-taker.
West Indies are let down by their terrible batting. They have set up targets of 154, 121 and 158 in the first three ODIs. Barring Deandra Dottin, none of the batters has shown any resistance. Hayley Matthews has amassed nine runs from the first three games.
Britney Cooper looked at ease in the opening ODI, but an injury kept her out for the next two games. The bowlers can be spared, as they never had ample to defend.
