The third T20I of the Ashes 2021/22 was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain in Adelaide. Both sides settled for a point each. Australia will walk into the Test match with a 4-2 lead, thanks to their nine-wicket win in the first T20I.
Australia will retain the Ashes if they manage to win the Test match, which begins on 27 January in Canberra. Ellyse Perry missed the T20I series, but is likely to walk into the playing XI. Beth Mooney, who fractured her jaw ahead of the T20I series, will also return to the side. However, Australia will miss Tayla Vlaeminck, who is ruled out of the rest of the series as well as the World Cup due to a stress fracture in her right foot.

For the tourists to reclaim the Ashes, they need to draw the Test match and win the ODI series.
