England's second T20I against Australia in the Women's Ashes 2022/23 was called off after just 4.1 overs of play at the Adelaide Oval because of persistent rain.
With the abandonment, both sides got one point each. Australia now have the lead of 3-1 in the multi-format series following their nine-wicket win in the first T20I.
Rain initially reduced the match to 14 overs a side. The toss was delayed before Meg Lanning asked England to bat. England reached 25/0 before the rain came back and forced the players off the field. There was no further play.
Danni Wyatt was unbeaten on 14 from 12 balls, while Tammy Beaumont had 6 from 14 balls.
The third and final T20I will take place at the same venue on 23 January. That will be followed by a Test match and three ODIs.
Brief scores: England 25/0 in 4.1 overs (Danni Wyatt 14*) vs Australia. No result.
