Brisbane Heat 94/7 in 20 overs (Kimmince 22*; Wellington 2-21) lost to Adelaide Strikers 98/2 in 16.2 overs (Mack 54*; Sippel 2-22) by 8 wickets with 22 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Katie Mack.

An unbeaten 54 from Katie Mack helped Adelaide Strikers beat Brisbane Heat by eight wickets at Harrup Park in Mackay. The Heat were restricted to 94/7, and the Strikers chased it down in 16.2 overs.

The Heat got off a sluggish start as Georgia Redmayne and Georgia Voll struggled to break free. Amanda-Jade Wellington removed both of them to reduce the Heat to 40/3. Laura Kimmince top-scored for them, with 22.

Courtney Sippel struck twice in her first over to reduce the Strikers to 10/2. Mack and Tahlia McGrath (31) then added 88 for the third wicket to drive the Strikers to an easy win.

Sydney Sixers vs Sydney Thunder

Sydney Sixers 94/6 in 20 overs (Perry 40*; Darlington 2-15) lost to Sydney Thunder 96/4 in 15.2 overs (Mandhana 45; Cheatle 3-15) by 6 wickets with 28 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Issy Wong.

Sydney Sixers succumbed to their seventh defeat of the season after managing just 94/6 against Sydney Thunder. The Thunder chased down the target in 15.2 overs with six wickets remaining.

Other than Ellyse Perry (40*), no Sixers batter managed anything substantial. None of Alyssa Healy, Shafali Verma and Ashleigh Gardner could even reach double digits. Hannah Darlington and Issy Wong claimed two wickets each.

As the Thunder kept losing wickets from the other end, Smriti Mandhana held her nerves and made 45 in 39 balls. They completed the chase in just over 15 overs.
