Tahlia McGrath's 50 not out helped Adelaide Strikers register an eight-wicket win against Melbourne Renegades. They chased down 127 in 17.3 overs. 

Dane van Niekerk got them off a rollicking start, smashing seven fours for her 14-ball 29. The Strikers also lost Katie Mack before Laura Wolvaardt (36) and McGrath ensured an easy win.

Earlier in the game, the Renegades lost two wickets for just 21, and Jemimah Rodrigues' dismissal reduced them to 53/3. Harmanpreet Kaur (41) and Evelyn Jones (36) then staged a comeback to take their team to a respectable total.

Melbourne Stars put up a comprehensive performance to defeat Sydney Sixers by 30 runs, thanks to a 50-ball 57 from Annabel Sutherland and a three-wicket haul from Kim Garth. The Sixers could only manage 109 in the pursuit of 140.

Sutherland fell for 57 before Maia Bouchier and Garth ensured that the Stars reach the fighting total. Bouchier made 32 off 25 deliveries, and Garth's contribution was worth 24 runs.

Ellyse Perry top-scored 40, and Ashleigh Gardner made 31, but none of the others got anything substantial. Shafali Varma got a duck.
