Brisbane Heat will take on Adelaide Strikers on 23 November, in the Eliminator of the Women’s Big Bash League 2021 at the Adelaide Oval. The winner of this contest will go up against Melbourne Renegades in the Challenger a day after, while Perth Scorchers have already booked a place in the final by topping the league stage.
The Heat boast of having a formidable batting unit, with Georgia Redmayne and Grace Harris at the top, followed by Georgia Voll, Laura Kimmince and Mikayla Hinkley. Of the four teams to have made it to the Playoffs, they are the only ones to have final four who have previously won the tournament.
Jess Jonassen, the leading wicket-taker (21 scalps at an economy rate of 6.53) of WBBL 2021, will lead the bowling attack.

In their last league fixture, the Heat beat the Renegades by 43 runs. Redmayne was adjudged the Player of the Match for her 51-ball 71. Jonassen and Nicola Hancock starred with ball, taking three wickets apiece.
Under Tahlia McGrath, the Strikers are coming off this contest after a nine-wicket defeat against Melbourne Stars. Katie Mack scored an unbeaten 67-ball 89 in that contest, but it went in vain, as did Megan Schutt's 1-20.
The Strikers have a fiery pace unit, featuring Darcie Brown, Schutt and McGrath, while Amanda-Jade Wellington and Dane van Niekerk are the wicket-taking spin options. If they manage to progress to the next stage, Laura Wolvaardt must play a crucial role.
