All eight teams of Women’s Big Bash League 2021 were supposed to be in action in four different fixtures on 23 October at the Invermay Park in Launceston. Unfortunately, all matches were abandoned due to relentless rain.

Only 16 overs of play was possible on an entire day, in the match between Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers. The Hurricanes were batting on 107/5. Naomi Stalenberg was unbeaten on 17-ball 21, while Mignon du Preez made 39 off 35 balls. For the Hurricanes, Darcie Brown and Amanda-Jade Wellington picked up two wickets each.

Melbourne Stars versus Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder versus Sydney Sixers, and Perth Scorchers versus Melbourne Renegades were all called off without a ball being bowled.
