An unbeaten 84 from Katie Mack went in vain as Adelaide Strikers fell 12 runs short of the Perth Scorchers' score. Chasing 178, the Strikers could only manage 165/5. Laura Wolvaardt scored 40 off 28 before falling to Sophie Devine. The rest of the batters could not add much. Devine and Heather Graham took two wickets each.

Beth Mooney and Devine earlier got the Scorchers off a rollicking start, adding 137 for the opening wicket. Mooney struck 10 fours en route 53-ball 78, while Devine made 61. Graham's 22 drove Perth to 177/3.

Chasing 176 against Melbourne Renegades, they finished on 171/2. With 13 to defend in the final over, Harmanpreet Kaur conceded just eight to seal a four-run win. This was the eighth victory of the season for the Renegades, who are at the top of the points table.

Earlier, they lost the early wickets of Jemimah Rodrigues (2) and Carly Leeson (7) before Kaur (81*) and Evelyn Jones (42) added 91 for the third wicket.Samantha Bates got 2-21 for Sydney.
