An unbeaten 101 from Beth Mooney – the first hundred of this season of the WBBL – helped Melbourne Renegades beat Perth Scorchers by 40 runs at the WACA in Perth. The Renegades could only manage 154/6 in the pursuit of 195. Courtney Webb's 46 was the highest score of the innings. For Melbourne, Lilly Mills claimed 4-25.

Earlier, Mooney and Sophie Devine stitched a 165-run partnership for the opening stand. Devine struck eight fours and two sixes for her 49-ball 72. Mooney's 101* came in 63 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur and Webb picked up a wicket each.

Sydney Sixers registered their fourth win of the season, defeating Hobart Hurricanes by 31 runs. They rode on Ashleigh Gardner's 51 and Ellyse Perry's 47 to post 141/4. They added 103 for the second wicket after Alyssa Healy fell for a two-ball duck.

The Hurricanes didn't have a great start. They lost two wickets inside the Powerplay, were later reduced to 54/4, and eventually made 110/7.
