Birmingham Phoenix 140/4 in 100 balls (Jones 42; Wellington 2-16) lost to Southern Brave 141/2 in 82 balls (Wyatt 69*; Burns 1-28) by 8 wickets with 18 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Danni Wyatt.
Danni Wyatt smashed an unbeaten 69 to help Southern Brave maintain their 100 percent winning record in the Women’s Hundred. Brave beat Birmingham Phoenix by eight wickets in Match 11 of the competition at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton.
Up against a stiff 141, Wyatt hit five fours and four sixes in her 40-ball stay after coming to open. She guided Brave reach the target with 18 balls to spare. Sophia Dunkley (41 runs in 23 balls) and Stafanie Taylor (22* in 14) also made useful contributions to hand their side three wins in three outings.
Earlier, Phoenix finished on 140/4 after being asked to bat, with Amy Jones top-scoring with 42 not out. Amanda Wellington was the pick of the Brave bowlers, with 2-16.
