Let us take a look at the highlights of Match 20 of the inaugural edition of Women’s Hundred that took place on 6 August.

Welsh Fire 102 in 100 balls (Matthews 28; Graham 3-14) lost to Trent Rockets 103/6 in 92 balls (Sciver 54; Matthews 2-13) by 4 wickets with 8 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Nat Sciver.
Nat Sciver’s 40-ball 54 helped Trent Rockets complete their third win on the trot as they defeated Welsh Fire by four wickets in Match 20 of the competition at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
After bowling out Fire for 102, the Rockets were in control, with 82/2 at one point. Piepa Cleary (2-21) and Hayley Matthews (2-13) then picked up four wickets – including Sciver’s – in 14 balls, conceding 16.
Still, Rockets required 5 in 10 balls after that collapse, but Abbey Freeborn (4*) hit the winning four with eight balls to spare.
Earlier, Matthews and Bryony Smith made 28 and 27 respectively in Fire’s 102 after Sciver won the toss and asked them to bat. Heather Graham and Sammy-Jo Johnson claimed three wickets each.
