Sophia Dunkley’s unbeaten 28-ball 50 helped Northern Superchargers beat Southern Brave by three wickets in the rain-affected Match 21 of the Women’s Hundred, in Southampton.
Chasing a revised target of 89 from 75 balls because of rain, Dunkley smashed five fours and two sixes, and added an unbroken 63-run stand with Maia Bouchier (32* off 19) to take the Brave home with 13 balls to spare. Kalea Moore claimed two wickets for the Superchargers.
Earlier, Superchargers had struggled to get going after being put in, They were 76/3 off 73 balls before heavy rain ended the innings. Laura Wolvaardt top-scored in this innings with 21. Lauren Bell returned 2-19, including the wicket of the tournament's leading run-scorer Jemimah Rodrigues (18).
