Let us take a look at the highlights of Match 10 of the inaugural edition of Women’s Hundred that took place on 29 July.

London Spirit v Trent Rockets, Lord’s

Trent Rockets registered their first victory in this season of the Women’s Hundred. They beat London Spirit by 18 runs in front of 10,579 fans at Lord’s.

Opting to bat, Rockets piled 151/4, thanks to Rachel Priest’s 42-ball 76. Priest hit 10 fours and 4 sixes to take her team to the highest total of the campaign so far. Natalie Sciver (32 runs in 16 balls) played a breezy cameo to make that happen. For Spirit, only Freya Davies (1-19) finished with respectable figures.

Coming to chase, Spirit kept losing wickets in regular intervals before ending on 133/7. Deandra Dottin (29 in 19) and Heather Knight (31 in 25) tried their best with a 45-run stand for the third wicket, but it was still not enough. Lucy Higham was the pick of the Rockets bowlers, with 2-12.
