London Spirits beat Manchester Originals by five wickets to register their third win of the tournament. They chased down 128 runs with two balls to spare. The Originals slipped to the bottom of the points table with this defeat.

With Lizelle Lee struggling to score, Emma Lamb took it all upon herself and got the Originals off a decent start. Lee played seven balls but failed to score. She fell prey to Deepti Sharma.

Mignon du Preez and Lamb added 39 for the second wicket before the latter was run out. Naomi Dattani collected the ball and threw it to Tammy Beaumont, who broke the stumps. Cordelia Griffith got out for a golden duck, reducing the Originals to 69/3.

Sophie Ecclestone provided a timely acceleration, scoring 32 off 26 to take the Originals to 127/5. Deepti Sharma picked up two wickets.

In reply, the Spirit suffered an early setback in Beaumont, who got out for a golden duck. Dattani chipped one straight back to Alex Hartley a few moments later.

Skipper Heather Knight and Deandre Dottin then stitched a 53-run partnership for the third wicket. Knight made 35 before holing out to Hartley, who took the second catch off her own bowling.

Deepti Sharma held her nerves, and made 34 off 23 to take London Spirit across the target. Sharma was adjudged Player of the Match for her all-round performance.
