London Spirit v Northern Superchargers, Lord’s
Northern Superchargers 126/5 in 100 balls (Rodrigues 57; Munro 2-20) lost to London Spirit 129/3 in 98 balls (Dottin 50*; Smith 2-15) beat by 7 wickets with 2 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Deandra Dottin.
Deandra Dottin’s unbeaten 34-ball 50 helped London Spirit beat Northern Superchargers by seven wickets in Match 17 of the Women’s Hundred at Lord's.
Tammy Beaumont (42 runs off 36 balls) led the platform for the Spirit as they set out to chase 127. They needed six from the final four balls, with Dottin in the middle. Dottin removed her helmet and smashed fours in two successive balls to see the Spirit home with two balls to spare. With 2-15, Linsey Smith was the pick of the Superchargers bowlers.
Earlier, Jemimah Rodrigues (57 off 44) once again showed her range to take the Superchargers to 126/5. This was her third fifty in four matches. Laura Kimmince (15* in 6 balls) also played a breezy cameo, but it was not enough in the end.
