It did not take long for South Africa to wrap up the game on Day 5. They bundled out Bangladesh for 53 to win the first Test match, in Durban, by 220 runs. Barring Najmul Hossain Shanto and Taskin Ahmed, none of their batters reached double figures.
This was the fourth win for South Africa in the World Test Championship 2021-23, and they are at second place. Australia, meanwhile, continue to remain at the top of the points table, while England languish at the bottom.
